Since 2013 – NOT ONE – of the laws passed are new. The laws either exist on the Federal level, or they are already on the books at the state level. There is nothing new about the laws. The House Bills that were not voted on and have been signed into law during 2023-2025 will – without a doubt – inevitably lead to the increase in victims as it has done in every other Liberal-Based city in America. They have taken the wild west out of Colorado, and ushered in an era of a big brother State, career politicians, government fraud and waste, and an underlying state of corruption. There is no law that makes it harder for criminals to commit crimes. There is no law that makes the public safer. These laws simply create taxes that will ultimately make the politicians richer.

Answer us these questions:

1) Where is the $2.3 BILLION that was supposed to go to the schools from the weed taxes? 

2) The new 6.5% excise tax on 2A items is supposed to go to Mental Health. How is the State currently tracking and reporting taxes on Prop KK (which is in effect and still does not have a distribution schedule)?

3) Do you believe that your taxes are doing a good job of paving the roads that you drive on, or reducing the amount of automotive crime that has made Denver #1 in the nation?

4) Are the taxes you pay doing a good job of reducing crime in your neighborhood (like the people checking your car’s door handles every night)?

Here’s a list of the laws that were created from 2000 to present. Take note of the events where politicians stood on the graves of the victims, not to make things safer, but instead to pass laws that coincide with the “helpless” feelings we as society had. These laws were only campaign promises to get elected – and nothing more. Careers were established, words were said, laws were inked – and to date - NOT ONE victim has been saved as a result.

· 1999: Columbine. The reason we’ll always advocate for your right to NOT be a victim.

· 2000: Ballot initiative requiring background checks for firearm purchases at gun shows.

· 2013: Aurora Movie Theater Shooting

• 2013:      Universal background checks, magazine capacity limits, fees for background      checks, prohibition of firearm possession for domestic violence offenders.
• 2019:      Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) law passed.
• 2021:      Boulder King Soopers Shooting
• 2021:      Safe firearm storage requirements, mandatory reporting of lost/stolen      firearms, domestic violence firearm relinquishment enhancements, expanded      background checks, local governments empowered to pass stronger gun laws.
• 2022:      Club Q Shooting
• 2022:      Prohibition of openly carried firearms near election sites, POWPO fix      (restoring over 60 felony crimes to POWPO eligibility).
• 2023:      Repeal of gun industry immunity, minimum age of 21 for gun purchases, ERPO      extensions, 3-day waiting period for gun transfers, firearm relinquishment      in domestic violence cases, ghost gun ban.
• 2024:      Secure firearm storage in vehicles, prohibition of firearms in sensitive      spaces, firearm relinquishment in domestic violence cases, standardized      concealed carry training, merchant category codes for firearm purchases,      firearm excise tax ballot measure, firearms dealer requirements and      permits, Colorado Bureau of Investigation authority to investigate firearm      crimes

· 2024: HB24-1353 – House bill mandates the newly formed “Colorado Firearms Dealers Permit”, new licensing fees, created 2A specific taxes, and allow the state full access to all documentation of dealers including point-of-sale programs, purchase histories of all customers, Federal Firearms Logs, required reporting of all transactions if conducted with a credit card, and more. THIS REQUIREMENT SPECIFICALLY generates an end-around for the State to generate a Registry despite the State Constitution specifically outlawing that very action.

· 2025: SB25-003 – Doubles down on 2023 and 2024 – In order to buy a firearm, purchasers go into a “database” maintained by the State, changes the requirements to limit buyers by forcing consumers to take training provided be “state approved” instructors. Bill outlaws many popular firearms. 

· 2025: HB 25-1238 – more regulation red tape and requirements on FFL holders and retailers.

· 2025: HB 25-1133 – moves the minimum age for purchasing ammunition to 21.
